
Peter Beaudrault
Chairman, CEO and President
Peter Beaudrault is President and CEO of Sbarro, where he oversees all
aspects of this worldwide $600 million company. The company operates more
than 1,000 restaurants across more than 30 countries. Before his appointment to
President and CEO in early 2005, Beaudrault was hired in 2004 to serve as
President of the company's quick service division. During his short time at
Sbarro, he has successfully led a complete reorganization of the company's
management, field and franchise operations.
Previously, Beaudrault served as President and CEO of Hard Rock Cafe International, where he was responsible for all aspects of the worldwide company, with more than 130 branded venues across 40 countries. During his nine-year tenure at Hard Rock, he successfully formulated and executed a five-year strategic plan that resulted in the most significant sales and earnings growth in the company's 32-year history. Over a span of four years, he opened 62 cafes across the globe and developed and created brand extensions to include hotels, casinos, live music venues, nationally syndicated radio/TV show, record label and the Hard Rock Vault and Hard Rock Academy. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Hard Rock, where he posted record profit earnings for three consecutive years and successfully executed a $500 million acquisition of three companies with 31 Hard Rock Cafes worldwide, seamlessly folding them into the company's existing portfolio. Beaudrault joined Hard Rock as Senior Vice President of worldwide operations in 1995.
Prior to Hard Rock, Beaudrault served as Executive Vice President at Ground Round Inc., achieving record sales and earnings in 1994 and 1995 for the 26-year-old concept. Previously, he held executive positions at TGI Friday's Inc. and Hard Rock Cafe New York and Tokyo.
Beaudrault graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y. with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Anthony J. Puglisi
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Anthony J. Puglisi is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sbarro,
where he leads the day-to-day financial operations for the Company’s more
than 1,000 restaurants and 11,000 employees. Puglisi, who has more than 30
years of public company financial management experience, handles all aspects
of financial and management accounting including payroll, accounts payable,
tax, general accounting, cash management and both internal and external
financial reporting. Puglisi is also responsible for directing the
activities and plans of the Information Systems group, setting computer
platforms and systems at both the store and corporate level. Additionally,
he directs the activities of risk management, benefits administration and
bond holder relations.
Prior to joining Sbarro in 2004, Puglisi served for two years as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Langer, Inc., a NASDAQ-traded company providing biomechanical footcare devices in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Previously, from 2000 to 2002, he held the positions of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Netrex Corp., a venture capital company with operations in the insurance and automotive industries located in Melville, N.Y.
Prior to Netrex, Puglisi served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Olsten Corporation, a $5 billion Fortune 500 NYSE traded temporary health and home care services company in Melville, N.Y. Puglisi managed the split-out and sale of the business to form the world’s largest staffing services company, and North America’s largest home health services company.
Previously, he spent 14 years with IMC Magnetic Corp., a manufacturer of a diversified line of motors, valves, power supplies and related devices for the commercial, aerospace and defense markets. At IMC, he held multiple management positions before rising to become President from 1989 to 1993.
Puglisi sits on the Board of Directors for China Products North America Inc. and High-Tech Pharmacal, Inc. He holds a BBA degree from Bernard M. Baruch College in New York, and has been a Certified Public Accountant in New York for more than 25 years.
Anthony Missano
President, Sbarro Business Development
During his 30-year tenure at Sbarro, Anthony Missano has played a key role in
helping drive the company's growth from seven restaurants to 1,000 locations
across more than 30 countries. Missano currently serves as President of Business
Development at Sbarro, where he oversees new concept development, real
estate, construction, and purchasing for the company's corporate and
franchise locations throughout the world. He recently led the development
and launch of Sbarro's pasta sauce, the first brand extension in the
company’s 50-year history.
Since joining Sbarro in 1975 as a member of the kitchen staff at one of the company's first locations, he has held roles of increasing responsibility. After four years of working within the restaurants, Missano joined the newly formed franchising division at Sbarro, where he helped grow the company by an average of 20 percent per year by opening more than 60 locations throughout the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. The company's rapid growth was instrumental in Sbarro's successful IPO in 1985 (the company later went private in 1999).
Missano was promoted to Director of Operations in 1984 where he was responsible for national operations of corporate and franchise locations. In 1992, he was named Zone Vice President and was responsible for $150 million worth of corporate operations in the U.S., achieving four consecutive years of high profit growth for the company. Missano then went on to serve as Corporate Vice President and Officer of the company in 1996.
From 2000-2003, Missano served as President of the company's quick-service division, where he managed more than $300 million of corporate business. Under his guidance, QSR Magazine awarded Sbarro First Place in the Foodservice Packaging Awards' beverage packaging category in 2003, for the company's innovative CD-in-a-lid marketing initiative.
Stuart M. Steinberg
General Counsel
As Sbarro’s in-house General Counsel, Stuart Steinberg is responsible for
all of the company’s legal negotiations and litigation including franchise
agreements, corporate agreements and construction contracts. Steinberg, who
joined Sbarro in 1997, serves on the company’s executive committee and helps
direct the day-to-day activities and the decision-making process for the
company.
For more than two decades, Steinberg has represented clients in business and personal matters as a partner of the full-service regional law firm, Steinberg, Fineo, Berger & Fischoff, P.C. He has extensive experience in negotiating business and real estate transactions and has additional areas of concentration including commercial lease transactions, finance transactions, business start ups, partnership and shareholders' agreements, and joint venture transactions. Steinberg has litigated matters in the areas described above in both New York State and Federal courts, having been admitted to practice before those courts for almost twenty years.
Steinberg received his Bachelor's Degree in political science and education from Queens College in 1979 and his Juris Doctor Degree with Distinction from Pace University School of Law in 1982. He graduated at the top of his law school class and was awarded a Citation of Excellence Award as the outstanding student in International Law at Pace.
John Brisco
President, Franchise Development
John Brisco leads the franchise operations team and directs the company's
international franchise development programs. With 30 years of
highly-successful international and domestic hospitality industry experience,
Brisco is expertly skilled in franchise negotiations, franchisee relations,
administration and finance, and business development and strategic planning.
Additionally, Brisco is responsible for the openings of all of the company's
international locations.
Before joining Sbarro in 2005, Brisco served as President of Worldwide Franchise Development for Ruby Tuesday's Inc., where he successfully developed and implemented an international business plan that established Ruby Tuesday franchises in 38 countries within a five-year period. In this position, he was also responsible for directing and finalizing all international negotiations, as well as supporting international franchisees.
Prior to Ruby Tuesday's, Brisco served as Vice President of International Development at TGI FRIDAY'S Inc., developing the company’s three brands—TGI Friday's, Front Row Sports Grill and Italianni’s—throughout 75 countries, totaling more than 200 stores.
Brisco graduated from the University of Houston, Hotel/Restaurant Management School and Colegio Americano in Venezuela.
