Sbarro, home of the XL New York style pizza by the slice, took first place at the annual “Slice of Columbus” pizza competition for the second year in a row for the Critics’ Choice Best Traditional Pizza Award.
“Slice of Columbus” is central Ohio’s largest pizza event. Over fifteen area pizza shops served their most savory pies. Attendees had the opportunity to sample pizza and vote for their favorite pie. Proceeds from the event benefitted The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
At the event in September, Sbarro took first place for the Critics’ Choice Traditional Pizza Award for their Roman Style Double Duo Pepperoni pizza. In 2016, Sbarro took first place in the same category for their 4 Cheese White pizza.

To celebrate, on October 4th we gave away free slices of the Roman Style Double Duo Pepperoni pizza to everyone who walked through our doors at our four free-standing locations in Dublin, Linworth, OSU and Clintonville. We gave away over 1000 slices to our fans!”
